Structural analysis to Eurocodes

We analyse precast and cast-in-place concrete structures in RFEM to Eurocodes, from the 3D building model to joints, cast-in parts and erection stages. The result is justified sections and reinforcement that the plant can produce and the crew can erect.

What we analyse

Single elements, joints or the whole building, depending on the task.

3D building model

A plate-and-bar model in RFEM: forces, deflections, stability, lateral stiffness and load distribution between elements.

Precast elements

Panels, slabs, columns, girders and prestressed beams, checked for production, transport, erection and service.

Connections and joints

Horizontal and vertical panel joints, slab bearings, column and beam connections, welded and bolted joints.

Cast-in and lifting parts

Selection and verification of cast-in parts, anchors and lifting loops for the actual forces.

Foundations and cast-in-place parts

Raft foundations, pile caps, retaining walls and cast-in-place frames.

Independent checks

An independent review of someone else’s analysis or reinforcement before production.

Who it is for

Developers

A justified structural solution and material savings without compromising safety.

Precast plants

Analysis of elements and joints for your technology, erection stages and cast-in parts.

Design offices

The precast analysis part of your project or an independent check of your solution.

How we work

  1. Input. architecture, loads, soil data, fire resistance requirements and the country of construction with its national annexes
  2. Structural scheme. we choose the analysis model and model the joints the way they actually behave
  3. Model. we build the 3D model in RFEM and set up load combinations to EN 1990
  4. Analysis. we check ultimate and serviceability limit states and the production and erection stages
  5. Joints. we design connections and cast-in parts from the actual forces in the model
  6. Report. we issue a calculation report that reviewers and the client can follow

Why CONSTRBIM

  • RFEM Dlubal. years of analysis in RFEM, including our own developments for it
  • Precast know-how. we know how a precast building works at every stage, from the mould to the finished frame
  • Eurocodes. EN 1990–1992 with the national annexes of EU countries
  • Linked to detailing. the same team does the analysis and the drawings, so the reinforcement on the drawings matches the analysis

Questions and answers

Which codes do you design to?

Eurocodes EN 1990–1992 with the national annexes of the country of construction.

What do we receive?

A calculation report with input data, schemes, results and checks, and the RFEM model if needed.

Can you check an existing analysis?

Yes. We independently review the analysis or the reinforcement and show where there is spare capacity or risk.

Do you analyse cast-in-place structures?

Yes: foundations, slabs, walls and frames. Our main specialisation is precast concrete, though.

Can we order only the joint design?

Yes, if a global model exists: we take the forces from it and design the connections and cast-in parts.

Discuss the analysis
